In my world of performance coaching, one of the invaluable tools we use in our consultation is called DISC Assessment.

The DiSC model of behavior was first outlined by psychologist William Mouton Marston in his 1928 book, "Emotions of Normal People."

According to, Marston's theory stated that behavioral expression of emotions could be categorized into types (Dominance, Inducement, Submission, Compliance), based on a person's perceptions of self in relation to his or her environment.

Understanding your primary behavioral trait, he believed, would help you understand and manage your experiences and relationships with others. As productivity coaches, we use tools such as DiSC to help you know YOU before you introduce your brand to your target audiences.

The tools available today to build our brand, communicate our messaging and drive relationships that produce results are many.
